Expiration Dating

in Amy's Blog

Expiration Dating (verb)-

1. Entering into a relationship with a known end date

2. A form of dating actively practiced by commitment-a-phobes wherein the lifespan of the relationship is pre-determined

Or as in my case, entering into a relationship fully aware of upcoming challenges and barriers including the possibility of a semi-short break and/or turning into a long-distance relationship. Except suddenly long distance now means 2.5 years between here and South America, which tells me long-distance is out of the picture and a final expiration date has taken it’s place. And the icing on the cake: his departure is not for another year.

Stubborn defense mechanisms are taking over. Is it worth it to spend half of 2011 and 2012 in one long, dragged-out goodbye? Will I regret putting my life on hold for someone who is guaranteed to leave me?

I’m usually a “glass half-full” kind of girl, but it sounds like today’s mantra will be “everyone leaves us one way or another”…

Bondage Body Cast

by Amy on July 5, 2011

in Amy's Blog

Last Sunday I modeled for body casting #2 with the talented, sweetest, most kind-hearted man/artist, Richard Smith. We decided on a bondage theme for my piece on a whim, so I invited my lady friends to come tie my naked self in a sexy body harness. Unfortunately, Saturday was a wild night, which means no ladies to be had for an early Sunday morning rope session. So what was a poor model to do? Tie herself up, of course!

Here are a few photos from our sunshine-filled erotic art endeavor in Richard’s beautiful garden. His art show, featuring my piece as well as that of many other hot bodies (and not just of women!), will be held at Pure Pleasure for the First Friday Art Tour on August 5th from 6:30-8:30pm.
